🐝 Bee Identification Resources 🐝

Patrick and the conservation team created a few bee scrapes in March 2025, in Pond Meadow. A scrape results in bare earth on a bank (such as the banks of the ponds in Pond Meadow) where solitary bees can burrow and lay their eggs. If you are walking in the woods and see any bees and would like to record your sighting it is easy to do even if you are new to recognising bee species.

Note where and when (time and date)
Note down your name too

click on the position of your sighting, which will drop a pin on the map, then right click to be informed of the Grid Reference (latitude, longitude and elevation).
